Office of the Faithful

Let him who seeks, do not cease seeking until he finds, and when he finds he will be troubled, and when he has been troubled he will marvel, and he will reign over the All.
Gospel of Thomas 2

GOD bless you,

The AGC willingly cooperates in efforts to advance the integral development of peoples. Our members, while exclusivist to be certain,  are also part of the civil community to some extent, but we keep our own identity, an identity based on the teaching of The Christ, an indentity forged by our firm beliefs, our history, our culture, one that can never be confused with that of any other religious body. No group; religious or sectarian, can arrogate to itself the right to represent us. No spiritual programme can claim to exhaust the riches of our message. We must therefore be careful to preserve our identity and freedom, while working wholeheartedly for the greater good of all as The Christ commands.

These are challenging days for the Church of GOD.  Each member of the faithful and every local ecclesial community must be prepared to be renewed, in order to meet the demands of a changing situation. This requires a process of purification, a consistent conversion of mind and heart, so that the authentic values of GOD may penetrate and act as a catalyst throughout global society, transforming it into an ever more transcedent reality. The good Christian finds the motivation for this in our obedience to the will of GOD. For it is GOD’s plan that all humanity share in the gifts of unity and justice, integrity and peace.

We encourage you to make the divine message of the GOD present in the customs and culture of all peoples. At times this will require great powers of discernment, prudence and patience on your part. But we know that The Christ is the centre of all human history and every human culture finds in Him its completion and perfection. Be ready to accept all that is compatible with the knowledge of GOD and offer it to your people as an opportunity to grow in holiness.

May GOD bless you and bring you to a good End.
