In
the month of July the AGC will introduce reCAPTCHA to our websites in
association with Carnegie Mellon University and its project to digitize
books from the Internet Archive.
reCAPTCHA improves the process of digitizing books by sending words
that cannot be read by computers to the Web in the form of CAPTCHAs for
humans to decipher. More specifically, each word that cannot be read
correctly by OCR is placed on an image and used as a CAPTCHA. This is
possible because most OCR programs alert you when a word cannot be read
correctly.
Now when you write the AGC you will be helping to digitize old text!
During
July 2008 all publicly listed emails on our public websites and online
will be changed. In their place will be easy to use - but secure -
forms so you can connect directly to the appropriate AGC person, office
or ministry. Thie format is much like our online forms circa 1994-1995
now so obsolete.
This will phase in with a change to this website in general and this
page name and location in particular as part of our committment to
provide a safe, secure online community on both sides of the website.
You can still use the current email directory.
GOD bless you, the full email
directory can be found here.
All
addresses and page format are transitional.
In the
event of spamming or denial of service attacks, the email address will
be closed immediately and new ones issued.
Emails addressed incorrectly will not be answered but may be forwarded.
Emails
sent with our domain name(cathar.net) are for official
business only; that is to say academics, professional or religious bodies,
community groups, and government officials
will receive a reply from our official email.
Our third party company assesses
and records threat and damage level.
They recommend the course of response. Should we deactivate an
email as needed, a new one will replace it.
