Welcome

We honour the memory
of the martyrs who
suffered at the hand of
the Anti-Christ.
We pray for their
perfect souls.

We pray for a unified
Church purged of its
corruption
and steered
safely again by good
Christians.

Spy Cams in Lancaster PA prompts change in AGC worship & meeting practices

This historic town, where America’s founding fathers plotted during the Revolution and Milton Hershey later crafted his first chocolates, now boasts another distinction.

It may become the nation’s most closely watched small city.

Some 165 closed-circuit TV cameras soon will provide live, round-the-clock scrutiny of nearly every street, park and other public space used by the 55,000 residents and the town’s many tourists. That’s more outdoor cameras than are used by many major cities, including San Francisco and Boston.

For good Christians, who have lived and worshipped there on and off since the late 1780's, the prospect of their house churches under surveillance has prompted a review of their long held practices, including the possiblilty they may move to a new location.

On Iran AGC Elders suggest joining prayer sessions not political protests

The followers of Christ have been called to peace. And they must not only have peace but also make it. To that end they renounce all violence and tumult. ... His disciples keep the peace by choosing to endure suffering rather than inflict it on others. They maintain fellowship where others would break it off. They renounce hatred and wrong. In so doing they overcome evil with good, and establish the peace of God in the midst of a world of war and hate.

AGC to endorse and join The Religious Coalition for the Freedom to Marry in Maine

Those opposed to Equal Marriage for all citizens in Maine have hired the California firm that led the successful Prop 8 proposal to overturn equality in marriage.

The public relations firm Schubert Flint Public Affairs  (link) will manage the campaign to repeal Maine's equal marriage law, just as it did in California where it was heavily funded by the Church of Latter Day Saints (Mormons). Organizers of the veto effort are attempting to collect 55,087 signatures of registered Maine voters to put the question on the November ballot.

Meanwhile, supporters of Maine's equal marriage law have formed a new political action committee. (See Freedom to Marry

cathar tvFor most good Christians in the United States the switch from analog to digital TV will make little or no difference due to the advanced technology already in place within most of our homes.

Scripture Week 5

Of course, there is great gain in godliness combined with contentment; for we brought nothing into the world, so that we can take nothing out of it; but if we have food and clothing, we will be content with these.

Lord of Light and Truth, we ask that you pour your spirit on those who lack hope. Free them from the darkness of despair so that they may seek you through education and loving community.

Scripture Week 4

Soon afterwards he went on through cities and villages, proclaiming and bringing the good news of the kingdom of God. The twelve were with him, as well as some women who had been cured of evil spirits and infirmities: Mary, called Magdalene, from whom seven demons had gone out, and Joanna, the wife of Herod's steward Chuza, and Susanna, and many others, who provided for them out of their resources.  Luke 8:1-3

Reflection Week 4    [top]

But receive everyone who comes in the name of the Lord, and prove and know him afterward; for you shall have understanding right and left. If he who comes is a wayfarer, assist him as far as you are able; but he shall not remain with you more than two or three days, if need be. But if he wants to stay with you, and is an artisan, let him work and eat. But if he has no trade, according to your understanding, see to it that, as a Christian, he shall not live with you idle. But if he wills not to do, he is a Christ-monger. Watch that you keep away from such.

Scripture Week 3

[top]   [ AGC and Scripture]  [Canonical Scripture Search ]

Very truly, I tell you, you will weep and mourn, but the world will rejoice; you will have pain, but your pain will turn into joy. When a woman is in labor, she has pain, because her hour has come. But when her child is born, she no longer remembers the anguish because of the joy of having brought a human being into the world. So you have pain now; but I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you.

John 16:20-22

Reflection Week 3

Again the savior answered and said, "Therefore it is necessary for us to speak to you, since this is the doctrine of the perfect. If, now, you desire to become perfect, you shall observe these things; if not, your name is 'Ignorant', since it is impossible for an intelligent man to dwell with a fool, for the intelligent man is perfect in all wisdom. To the fool, however, the good and bad are the same - indeed the wise man will be nourished by the truth and (Ps. 1:3) "will be like a tree growing by the meandering stream" - seeing that there are some who, although having wings, rush upon the visible things, things that are far from the truth. For that which guides them, the fire, will give them an illusion of truth, and will shine on them with a perishable beauty, and it will imprison them in a dark sweetness and captivate them with fragrant pleasure. And it will blind them with insatiable lust and burn their souls and become for them like a stake stuck in their heart which they can never dislodge. And like a bit in the mouth, it leads them according to its own desire. And it has fettered them with its chains and bound all their limbs with the bitterness of the bondage of lust for those visible things that will decay and change and swerve by impulse. They have always been attracted downwards; as they are killed, they are assimilated to all the beasts of the perishable realm."

Scripture Week 2

But blessed are your eyes, for they see, and your ears, for they hear. Truly I tell you, many prophets and righteous people longed to see what you see, but did not see it, and to hear what you hear, but did not hear it.

Matthew 13:16-17

Reflection Week 2

For this reason, do not take error too seriously. Thus, since it had no root, it was in a fog as regards the Father, engaged in preparing works and forgetfulnesses and fears in order, by these means, to beguile those of the middle and to make them captive. The forgetfulness of error was not revealed. It did not become light beside the Father. Forgetfulness did not exist with the Father, although it existed because of him. What exists in him is knowledge, which was revealed so that forgetfulness might be destroyed and that they might know the Father, Since forgetfulness existed because they did not know the Father, if they then come to know the Father, from that moment on forgetfulness will cease to exist.

Scripture Week 1

[top]   [ AGC and Scripture]  [Canonical Scripture Search ]

But those who want to be rich fall into temptation and are trapped by many senseless and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, and in their eagerness to be rich some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pains. But as for you, man of God, shun all this; pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance, gentleness.

1 Timothy 6:9-11

Reflection Week 1

Life presents itself as a series of problems to which we must find solutions. Those who, instead of making an honest attempt to solve their problems, try to side-step them soon find themselves faced with insuperable difficulties.  It is important to understand that it is an illusion to think that you can behave like a truant pupil and skip the difficulties of life. The truth is that the problems you fail to solve will always be there as road-blocks on your spiritual path, and you will soon find yourself faced with an insurmountable barrier.
