![]() ![]() ![]() The AGC encourages financial and editorial support for the Wikipedia project so that it may achieve its objectives. In kind, we imagine a world where all humanity may come to the full knowledge and acquaintance of GOD. Concerning the two articles in question, we have had concerns about the neutrality of content and contributors in addition to the posting of comments that are false and defamatory in nature. Our position is the articles on Cathar or Catharism in Wikipedia are not an acceptable academic citation; , even though it may lead one to a citable source. We are asking educational institutions, organisations and other websites not to cite these or other Wikiepedia articles at this time except with appropriate disclaimers in the interests of academic freedom. The merging of both articles, under careful supervision of diligent Wikipedian editors would be laudable and efficient, beneficial for the sake of clarity to online visitors. We ask that NPOV includes all external links and that these clearly distinguish links to public advocacy or special interest groups from links to bona fide scholarly sources. We submit breaking links into three categories; 1) scholarly works 2) scholarly organizations and 3) special interest groups that advocate a personal, non neutral view. There are many who would misdirect or mislead the readers of this Wikipedia article out of misplaced good intention, deliberate malice or mental impairment. Serious members of the Wikipedia community should not fear a process that is fully transparent with strict adherence to the posting protocols. Our second area of interest is found in
the archived Talk pages. We continue to maintain that utterances
clearly making false and defamatory statements be archived separately,
accessible only to registered Wikipedians or completely excised. The
AGC response to the person (s) responsible for these statements remains
under prayerful internal examination and active investigation. Under
consideration by the AGC Office of Legal Affairs is a
referral to the U.S. attorney for the Southern District of Ohio
in the spring of 2007 as this is where the author (s) of the posts
resides. Brad Hoffstetter of the Office of Communications, said while
we must be tempered by Divine justice and guided by GODly love and
restraint, "If there
should be a thorough criminal investigation, and if it's determined
that a crime has occurred, the perpetrators should be prosecuted to the
full extent of the law."
