GOD bless you!...Pray the Our Father today and every day

And he said, "The person is like a wise fisherman who cast his net into the sea and drew it up from the sea full of little fish. Among them the wise fisherman discovered a fine large fish. He threw all the little fish back into the sea, and easily chose the large fish. Anyone here with two good ears had better listen!"

Elders spread across Vermont and New England

In a fine, longstanding New England tradition, good Christians time their pre Annual General Meeting sessions with civic town meetings with elders and faithful speaking at both.

AGC backed Doctor-assisted-death bill defeated in Vermont

21 Mar 07 In a vote Wednesday night that surprised people on both sides of the issue, the Vermont House on Wednesday defeated a bill that would have allowed doctors to help terminally ill patients hasten their deaths.

The 82-63 vote, which came after almost four hours of debate, ends the legislation's chances for the two-year session.

Elder Peter Brown expressed profound disappointment at the loss.

27 Mar 07 ADQ wins big in Québec, Green Party increases vote
In the aftermath of a week long visit to Quebec by the AGC moderator, the Action democratique du Quebec has won the balance of power in the Quebec national assembly, moving from 5 seats to 41. The conservative nationalist party now forms the opposition to a Liberal minority government. ADQ leader Mario Dumont, overcame seemingly unsurmountable obstacles - little cash or party infrastructure and few strong candidates.  In the final tally, Liberals won in 48 ridings, the ADQ in 41, and the Parti Quebecois in 36.  The Liberals had 33 per cent of the vote, the ADQ 31 per cent and the PQ 28 per cent.

Dumont, in a speech to jubilant supporters in Riviere du Loup, was already setting the stage for the next election. "Today's election results mark the beginning of a new age for Quebec," he said. "This vote expresses a powerful desire for change," for a government that does "less politics and focuses more energy on taking care of people's everyday lives. One by one today, Quebecers went to polling stations to write a page in a history book - they closed one chapter and opened another one."
